What to put in a support email

  • the app version, and your iOS or Android version;
  • the screen you were on;
  • what you expected, and what happened instead; and
  • the steps to make it happen again, using made-up numbers.

Do not send

Do not send names or birth information. Do not send real heights, parent heights or your range. Do not send profile files, or screenshots with personal information in them. Do not send receipts, transaction numbers, passwords or recovery codes.

Common fixes

Centile Plus has not unlocked

Check the phone is online. On iPhone, check it is signed in to the Apple Account that paid. On Android, check it is signed in to the Google account that paid. In Centile, open Profile, choose Centile Plus, then choose Restore purchases. That restores your access. It does not bring back height checks you deleted.

A height check is wrong

Open Progress and find the height check by its date. Open its actions and choose Edit height check. Centile then works everything out again from your latest one.

A monthly reminder did not arrive

In Profile, check the monthly reminder is on. Then check that notifications are allowed for Centile. On iPhone, that is in Settings. On Android, it is in the phone’s app settings for Centile. The reminder is optional, stays on your phone and says nothing private.

The app closes, or a screen won’t respond

Reopen Centile and check that your phone’s software and the app are up to date. If it keeps happening, email us the safe details listed above. Don’t attach your own app data.

Purchases and subscriptions

On iPhone, Apple handles the money. You can manage an Apple subscription or request a refund from Apple.

On Android, Google Play handles the money. You can manage a Google Play subscription or ask Google Play for a refund.

Deleting local app data does not cancel an Apple subscription or a Google Play subscription. Cancelling a subscription does not delete local app data.

Plus works on any phone signed in to the account that paid. Your records stay on the phone where you entered them and don’t move across. A parent’s phone can keep more than one child. An Apple subscription doesn’t carry over to Google Play, or the other way round.

Delete your data

In the app, open Profile and choose Delete local data. That removes everything Centile holds, and the reminder, from your phone. It can’t remove a copy already in an iPhone backup. Android keeps no backup.

Health and safety

Your range is a rough guide, not medical advice. Centile can’t spot a growth problem. If you’re worried about your growth, talk to a doctor.

Stop a movement routine if you feel pain, dizziness or faintness. Stop if you are unusually short of breath, or you hurt yourself. In an emergency, call your local emergency service. This support email is not an emergency or medical service.

Who runs Centile

Centile is run by SLT Workshop Limited, a New Zealand company. Support, privacy and security questions all go to support@centile.app.
